Cherry Blossom
For those who want to experience Japan's famous blossoms it is advised you book early. The Cherry blossom season for many of the typical attractions will mean travelling needs to be from mid-March through to mid April to make the most of the Sakura season. Cherry blossom viewing in each place peaks for about 1 week in most places so to maximise the chances of making the most of one's trip we will tailor make in the aim to maximise the visibility of Sakura blossoms. Sakura season is a peak time in Japan so prices at some properties may have seasonal rates and/or be tight in availability.
Northern Cherry Blossom
For many families who are wanting to travel during school holidays and want to catch the Cherry blossoms then it might be suitable to consider some of your trip including areas in the Tohoku region. Often the April school holidays tend to start once most of the season is finished in places like Tokyo and Kyoto. It is still advised to book early but catching the Tohoku blossom season allows one to travel over the school holidays which tend to be on in mid-April. Cherry blossom season tends to be best from early April to late April/early May.
