It is being speculated that the Japanese Govt is looking at promoting and targeting other major centres as financial hubs to attract business and slowly shift some of the business focus from being Tokyo centered. Due to China’s recent approach to Hong Kong, Japan is looking at encouraging some businesses to consider Japan as a safer and more stable option. There are still challenges Japan faces in progressing with this but are looking at ways to mitigate some of these issues and concerns.
